Hey, man! I'm happy to say that I've switched gears, and am doing my 2-year diploma in web design and animation, so if you ever need a kick-ass flash/other style site done, just say the word, my man ;)
My vision is to create websites that blow minds and tell a story....The future is in our midst.

I am in about the same place you are, although I have not stripped down all the techie stuff in my life, however I do let about 500 emails pile up before I go through it all. Then just push "delete". This summer is started to get exciting. I will have you know that this is the year of the Tiger which I am, so I should have an exceptional year. I have a huge yard and my gardening is my spiritual experience, that and my deep faith in god which is a constant for me. I believe in all religions though and that they are more connected than humans realize. Someone I know of, Pete Wolfe's x college roomey, David Lynch is very much into meditation if you would be interested in his experiences, I am sure he is online like everyone else. I have been making and selling quite a bit of my jewelry as an aside to being an RN. My opportunity to travel nurse again is calling me big time, just can't figure it out right now. There are even jobs in Portland. So, miss seeing you in person, but I somehow through this medium always feel in touch with you. I love you as a person, and by the way, a woman I work with has a huge crush on you and wants to know when you are coming to Detroit? I showed her the picture of us and played your music for her. Answer? You are just a home body really aren't you. I saw John Oates in March in Ann Arbor. He was great, Tanner was his little roadie, and I got to introduce my sister to him.

Aah, Geoff....How the plot thickens...RIP T-Bone indeed...He is very missed to say the least.
Be strong, and clarity is ever-elusive it would appear, as the more we learn about ourselves, the more complicated it gets. That said, onward and forward with simple pleasures is the right Rx.
Much love and depth from Ontario, Canada. I'll be doing my MSW (Masters in Social Work) in the future, so perhaps I can help impart some wisdom to other deep souls like ourselves....Who knows.
As you said, what will be will be....As Daryl says, "everything is everything".
P.S. - It would be great to talk to you sometime, and perhaps write something together??

Hey GB - I spoke with my friend at OCF and she said if you were to draw up a 1-page proposal of what it is that you want to do in the schools, she can take it to some of the private investors that contribute to OCF and see if we can't find some $$$$$ to get you working at CMC, etc. Enjoyed having a bite and a chat with you a little while back at Noodles. Hope this finds you well - like the pics on your site.

Hey Geoff!
Even though I don't always respond to your emails, I ALWAYS read them and for some reason this last one really got me thinking.
Each email from you over the past 4 years has been like watching a unique plant evolve and grow, changing through the different seasons of life. Each letter representing a new bloom or fallen leaf, adding shape and structure to the story, bit by bit.
I know we've never met, probably never will and couldn't really be considered friends and yet...
Your magical voice made a connection with me that I am very grateful for. By letting me into your life just a little, I feel I have gained a great deal and am proud to say that in some small way, I know Geoff Byrd.
I await the next installment
Peace

Geoff,
Happy Easter to you too! Life has been super busy and it is always nice to hear from you. My daughter is now three and is really into music and dance. She loves listening to your voice and it's so awesome seeing her dance to her favorite Geoff Bryd tunes. Congrats on the simplistic move you have made in your life. I'm so jealous. I try so hard to find balance and serenity in my life but I think I have a few years to go before I can truly commit. Children seem to take the front seat in your life and responsiblity hits you square in the face. Anyway thanks for the updates and hope to see and hear from you soon.
Keep on grovin' baby.

I see all these years {you}
A family member gave me a cell phone as a gift once , I never took

I just didn't want to live in that

matter where I was.
Peace & Love to you Geoff.
Maybe you can donate your cell
phone to a charity.

Wishing you back a blessed day of happiness and peace. I, like you, like not having all the different places of contact, and some solitude is always good. I love emailing and checking in with you and other good friends, at least one place. Take good care, I am so thrilled with all of your success and clarity of your mind. I'm planning so many things I need to get done and never ever seem to do anything, but one thing I would like to get back to is reading.
I could use a little 'Clarity' myself. Love Always, #1CaliFan Deb
oh p.s. I've made several email attempts w/my neices' parents. One thing is true to this day. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink. At my neices age, who knows if she is still looking seriously at her talent...

Hi Geoff, well here you go again! I wish you the best. I know that being around such young energy will totally revitalize you and the changing seasons won't hurt either. I did see you perform at RockBottom and I didn't feel it much either, you were good and so was the band who played after you but you're right, way too much distraction. UPDATE!
I have decided that the simplicity of life before Facebook and Twitter and texting has once again called my name. I have deleted my Facebook and Twitter acounts to go back to a simpler time for me. I love you all and have had some amazing conversations and support, I just feel I have to get back to basics. I SO appreciate you all. If you would like to stay in touch, please sign up where it says join the email list on this site. I am keeping my email and phone the same.
I will also likely be taking a break from playing live for a while to clear my head and find the right venue and situation. Thank you for your support and patience and for coming to see me of late. I SO appreciate you.
I will be focusing on private events and house parties for the sake of intimacy and a real connection. No amps, no mics....just a guitar, some friends and a couch. That's how I'm going to roll from now on other than a few charity events and special events and concerts ie: opening for Stevie Wonder which might happen again soon.
Much love, clarity and appreciation my friends.

GB - I've followed your journey from days of Americana and nights at the Dublin to the new Songwriting Academy. It's good to see that more and more bits of your vision keep coming together. In your efforts to fuse your passions for music, learning, and young people, you might also want to explore a motivational/inspirational school assembly approach. You know what kids need to hear and you know how to make it happen - you walked the talk and followed your dreams. Keep goin' for it, my old friend.

Thanks Mike. I am happy for the first time in a LONG time doing this music thing. I'm just playing a couple shows a month, making the music I want to make. Working on a new acoustic themed record now with some new songs I like a lot.
I am not really interested in the whole major label thing. I am writing some songs for movies and TV and other artists as well. Things are good for me actually. I am enjoying the moment instead of worrying about what is next. HUGE difference.
Going to do some teaching and go back to work as well. Things are finally in balance after years of well, not being in balance. Thank you for caring and I am glad you dig Parasol (still one of my favs from the catalogue). Cheers mate! Thank you Lowry Agency and Des too. Much love,

For the love of @!#$ you are booking yourself out at less than your worth. You need someone to put in perspective a la PR and selling you for what you have done. Have no idea why your not signed to major label. Direction required. You can continue to climb the mountain in this very different music scene. Taking a breath so you are able to take correct path would serve you well. Wish you luck, continue to make your own!

Do you now own all your songs? Would like to propose Parasol as a demo for someone. it's still your most overlooked song but will be a hit for someone. Told you so when you toured with Daryl & John but don't think it registered. It's all about someone seeing through the forest through the tree's and knowing what sounds good and sells.
